Law exams are important and doing well is definitely the easier way to create multiple opportunities for yourself and land your dream law job. So, obviously study and do the best you can.
However, know that it is not the only track. You can land your dream job despite mediocre results this semester. I know because I was one of those people that got mediocre results my first semester and was still able to secure my dream law job. That is one of the reasons why I started this blog. I wanted to share the steps I took to get the big firm job.
The way to bounce back is covered all over this blog. In short, the key is to focus on a niche area of law you think you may want to practice, do some meaningful networking with folks that could be helpful, take classes in that area and do well, and get some real world experience in that area (and secure recommendations from folks that can attest to your skills).
Much more to follow on this topic. For now, focus on exams but know that all is not lost if you do not ace them. Good luck!
